Selling Policy

Shield stands behind the quality of all our products. Please thoroughly examine all products immediately upon delivery. We aim to resolve any issues as quickly as possible. We do not accept any returns or offer refunds. Review our Selling Policy below. It is not “fine print”, and it is not negotiable. It does, however, constitute an integral part of the contract agreement between Shield and our valued customers concerning each purchase of products from Shield. This Selling Policy only applies to sales of Shield Security Doors (“Products’) made by Shield Security Doors (“Seller“, “Shield”, “We”, “I” or ”Our”) through the Shield Security website shieldsecuritydoors.com and replaces any other doc- uments or discussions Shield Security Doors previously had with You, the purchaser (“Purchaser”, “You” or “Your”). All prices, terms, discounts and product offerings are subject to change without notice.
Application of this Selling Policy and the Terms & Conditions of Sale
Sales by Shield Security Doors Products within the United States are made only on the terms which are contained in this Selling Policy and the accompanying Terms & Conditions of Sale. Seller objects to any different or additional terms and conditions that You may propose. This sale is expressly conditioned upon Your agreement to this Sell- ing Policy and the Terms and Conditions of Sale. Both the Selling Policy and the Terms and Conditions of Sale may only be changed by a written document signed by both parties. The parties intend that the Selling Policy and these Terms and Conditions of Sale, together with the Order Confirmation and the Final Invoice sent to You via electronic mail, constitute the final, complete, and exclusive agreement between Seller and You.
Order Confirmation
Your order is not binding until You have received Your order confirmation from the Seller, which will be transmit- ted to You through electronic mail. You should print and review Your order confirmation and retain a copy for Your records.
Seller reserves the right, without notice to You, to limit Your order quantity and/or refuse service to any customer. Seller reserves the right to cancel any order and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions.
Pricing
The prices charged by Seller shall be those prices in effect on the date of Our receipt of a complete order from You. Prices listed are in U.S. Dollars and apply to orders shipped within the United States. These merchandise prices DO INCLUDE the cost of shipping the Products to Your designated “Ship To” address.
Taxes
Sales tax will be charged according to the ultimate “Ship To” destination of Your order. All sales, use, excise and other taxes applicable to the sale of the Products are Your sole responsibility and will be charged at the time the Products are shipped. Seller will provide You with an estimate of these taxes at the time You submit Your order, however, this estimate may be revised by Seller prior to shipment of Your order if tax rates change.
Payment Terms
The first 50% of the total cost of this contract is required as a non-refundable deposit and must be received in order for this contract to become effective. The client is under no obligation to accept the original design and may request additional design revisions to be made at no charge. (Though adding certain features to the design may result in additional manufacturing costs that could necessitate a change order.) If no acceptable design is possible, You may also choose not to pursue the project further without the obligation to pay the remaining balance of 50% of the total cost. You will have the opportunity to modify Your order up until Your drawings are approved for production. Once approved, however, orders cannot be canceled or modified. The final 50% payment must be paid in full imme- diately after Shield Security Doors has provided photographic evidence to You of the project’s completion and in all cases, prior to the delivery of the order. The balance payment shall not be delayed for any reason unless stipulated in this contract. In cases where installation is included as an individual line item, the installation amount may be withheld from the final payment until after the installation is complete.
You are required to provide a valid credit card number to Seller when Your order is submitted. By submitting Your order, You authorize Seller to charge Your credit card for the entire purchase price, plus taxes although pursuant to the Terms detailed herein, only the first 50% of the total cost will initially be charged to Your credit card. Seller re- serves the right to accept or reject the credit card number You provide when Your order is placed. By submitting an order and a credit card number, You represent to Seller that You are the cardholder, that the card is valid and that You are authorized to make the charges. Credit cards issued by banks located outside the United States of America will not be accepted.
Changes and Cancellations
You will have the opportunity to modify Your order up until Your drawings are approved for production. Once approved, orders cannot be canceled or modified. Orders canceled before approval for production may be refunded minus a 20% cancellation fee. To initiate an order change or cancellation please promptly send an email to info@shieldsecuritydoors.com and state Change or Cancel in subject line, and include Your request, order and telephone number. Any changes or cancellations will be confirmed by the Seller Customer Service representative via a direct email to You.
Installation
Shield Security Doors is a materials-only supplier and does not provide any Installation services.
Safety Disclaimer
Doors and windows fabricated by Shield Security Doors are machines and should be used only in accordance with instructions provided and must be properly maintained. Failure to abide by these instructions or failure to oper- ate responsibly could result in serious injury or death. As with any door or machine, the user should keep fingers and other body parts away from hinges and door edges, and children should be supervised when operating them. Shield Security Doors builds custom doors for clients all over the world, and therefore disclaims any knowledge of local or regional building codes or requirements related to its products. It is the responsibility of the client and/ or their agents to review the design drawing package to verify that it satisfies all local and regional building code requirements that may be applicable to the products.
Some code requirements and/or third-party certifications may incur additional expenses. Proper installation and maintenance are essential to the long-term and safe operation of all doors and windows. Installation and maintenance should be conducted in accordance with the Shield Installation and Service Manual.
Shipping And Delivery
An estimated delivery date will be provided to You by the Seller in Your order acknowledgement. Transit time is dependent on shipment method and location after delivery. Shield Security Doors will notify You via electronic mail when Your shipment leaves our facility and provide tracking information.
Returns
Shield Security Doors products may not be returned.
Refunds
Shield Security Doors are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.
Confidentiality
Shield Security Doors endeavors to maintain strict confidentiality of all its records. Shield Security’ Doors will never intentionally release or sell any information regarding any client or project to any third party without express consent.
Disclaimers
THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES EXCEPT THOSE SET FORTH IN DETAIL HEREIN. THEY ARE REFERRED TO AS EXPRESS WARRANTIES. THERE ARE NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND OR NATURE WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND/OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND ALL WARRANTIES ARISING FROM THE COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
Limitations of Liability
SHIELD SECURITY DOORS, ITS CONTRACTORS, AUTHORIZED DEALERS AND SUBCONTRACTORS OR SUPPLIERS OF ANY TIER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (DAMAGES THAT ARISE FROM AN ACT, BUT DO NOT DIRECTLY RELATE TO THE ACT) ARISING FROM A BREACH OF THIS AGREEMENT. PURSUANT TO THIS AGREEMENT, YOUR REMEDIES ARE THEREFORE LIMITED AND THE LIABILITY OF SHIELD SECURITY DOORS WITH RESPECT TO THE BREACH OF THIS SELLING POLICY OR ANY OTHER CONTRACT ENTERED INTO BETWEEN YOU AND SHIELD SECURITY DOORS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT OR PART ON WHICH THIS LIABILITY IS BASED.
IF THE LAWS OF ANY JURISDICTION DO NOT PERMIT LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCIDENTAL DAMAGES AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY. IN THESE JURIS- DICTIONS, THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS SHALL BE ENFORCED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
Governing Law
The Law of the State of New York governs this Agreement including this Selling Policy and the Terms and Conditions of Sale as well as all sales on the Shield Security Doors website. Shield Security Doors makes no representation that the information in the online Shop is appropriate or available for use in other locations, and access to this Site from territories where the content of the Site may be illegal is prohibited.
Privacy Policy
We recommend that You review Our privacy policy which is part of this Selling Policy. If at any time You are not in compliance with the policy, We have the right to terminate Your rights of use and access to the online Shop. Unfor- tunately, We cannot ensure that all personal information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in the Privacy Policy. We may be required by law to disclose information to government authorities, law enforcement or to third parties upon subpoena, and You authorize us to disclose information as We believe, in our sole discre- tion, is necessary or appropriate.
